Don't be so biased so quickly, Rag. Yeah, they do chit jobs that nobody, even you, would want to do, and yes, it is the fault of lazy Americans, but that is what welfare does to people. The least guilty here are 'John Doe' and 'Juan Garcia' -plain vanilla American workers and Mexican immigrants.
If everybody would do their job in a legal, ethic manner [including American employers and MX government] we would be normal neighbors with less problems.

You people seem to think the US is the only country in the world that restricts immigration or deals harshly with illegals. You want to try smuggling yourself into Singapore or Tokyo or London or Berlin and try to get by illegally, what do you think would happen? You think they would just say, Well howdy friend, here's a green card, Nah here is something better, we will just make you a citizen, because we are such nice guys. Why don't you look at your own back yard before you attack our policies. BTW I think mexican workers are really good people trying to get a better position in life and in fact have a mexican daughter in law but that doesn't help the fact there are laws about immigration here. Look at your own laws before you condemn the US for theirs.

Illegal Immigration is a touchy subject to me personally. I'm an Irish, Scot, Italian, Croation, Serb and whatever else my ancestors bedded down with throught the ages American who is married to a Mexican lady. Living here on the border and being fluent in Spanish enables me to have a different perspective from Europeans and other Americans on this subject. There is a difference between an Illegal Alien and a Immigrant. My ancestors immigrated to this country legally and learned the language of the land. My mother who was Italian by birth was fluent in English, Italian, Yugoslav, and German. She became a US citizen and loved this country till the day she died. Many immigrants nowadays form little communities and don't try to learn English and their loyalties are from their mother country. Just the other day I saw protestors burning the American flag in protesting new laws that congress is trying to pass. As an American and as a veteran that really ticked me off. The press always tries to portray the US Immigration laws as too rigid but if I tried to live in Mexico as a legal alien I would be required to deposit 5,000 US in a Mexican bank and if I was caught working there illegally my behind would be put in jail. I wouldn't be given official documents in English unlike the the US who has official documents in a hodgepodge of languages. The Mexican government is so corrupt its pathetic. They encourage the people to enter the US illegally to work because 40% of their GNP is from illegals sending money to relatives in Mexico. There is two classes of Mexicans. The rich and the poor. There isn't much of a middle class so to speak. I myself has had my property taxes raised because of the drain that illegals cause to the city infrastructure. Schools are educating illegals at a cost to US taxpayers thus taking money out of the education system that could be used to educate American children. Most illegals are payed under the table so they aren't taxed but are given freebies such as health care and welfare. The US cannot afford to care of all the poor in Mexico. That should be the job of the Mexican government. I don't blame a Mexican for coming to the US to feed their family. I blame the people who give them jobs paying them below average wages. I also blame lazy-assed Americans who are able bodied to work who is given welfare because they don't want to work at the menial jobs that poor Mexicans are doing in this country. If the government would cut off their checks then the Americans would pick the food, clean the motels etc.
