I'm munching on left-over crispy wonton strips from supper. I have a workshop tomorrow afternoon/evening and the three following days, so I'm enjoying my brain's lack of useful activity at the moment.
vanilla ice cream (Breyers) and a few ginger snaps. Taken sufficiency, as they politely say, so no late night snacks for moi.

What's stunning is that I'm actually going to get a stipend for the one I went to this past week and the 2-day one on the 11th and 12th. Not this one, though, but of the three it's the most practical. I'm very much into pragmatic classes and workshops. I can read about theory on my own; show me how to do whatever it is you want me to do.

Sushi Restaurant close by. What would you suggest I order? By the
way, I've done veggie offerings with wasabi in CA but that's all.
Unagi (BBQ eel)
Salmon Roe
Anything really. Stay away from the sea urchin, unless you're feeling adventurous. Not for beginners.
Ask the sushi chef what's good. At a reputable place, they'll usually steer you in the right direction. Get nigiri or sashimi.
The best thing I had tonight was called "boton". It was raw tuna, wrapped around a clump of rice forming a small cup. This "cup" was filled with tobiko caviar, and topped with the raw yolk of a quail egg. Unbelievable.
