I expect yous have all been making albums for years right?

Well my hubby showed me today how to use it and I have to say it's great isn't it, I have loads of old songs that I used to like on my own album now.

Very chuffed with myself 😉

Lime Wire was very good. It's a bit messed up now as the last poster suggested. It's 'emule' for me at the moment. I think i just like the picture. Seem to get far less 'messed up' stuff now days. Lime Wire became a bit of a menace..most notably .. the newer stuff. If you wanna be sure.it takes longer but the newsgroups have it all.

Just to take it a step further, don't download any files that are very small in nature, ie 157.7kb for a song isn't right.

Get a very good antivirus program just in case, and scan each file after you downloaded it but before you open it. always better to be overly protective of your computer rather than burned to no end.

and as a further word of advice - beware of the access to your drives and files you are giving to others. Not only can you make confidential information available to the world at large but there have been successful prosecutions brought against those that allow others to download files from their accounts.

it's easy enough to guard against - in the options tab you should be able to check that you're not allowing greater access to your pc than you intended - perhaps to be on the safe side just disable file sharing altogether?

I scan anything I download from p2p before I open it - quick and simple with AVG.

Hubby tells me everything gets scaned by Norton so it'll be fine 🙂

No problem then. Does he realise how much space you are going to use on the hard drive now? All those songs that you will be reminded of - and have to download 😀

If you're stealing music, then that's pretty antisocial.

Do you pinch CDs in your local record store?
