Settle bills with 2p less than requested. It's never worth anybody's time to chase after that amount and by your 28th success you could have 56p.

Save any small, strong, plastic resealable bags. Reuse them to freeze small portions of left over cooked rice, sauces etc for a quick snack that uses up very little freezer space if frozen flat and thaws very quickly.
Keep a store of frozen berries to use for smoothies, with muesli or plain yogurt.
