had my car for 4 years washed it once I rely on rainwater
Can you remember its original color?

Certainly a good fit with my wiper blades dropping off. Never used detergent again and it never happened again, but that was a long long time ago. 😁
Now, the wiper blades, were they skipping across the windscreen prior to this? My personal car mechanic told me the rubber can go hard on them within a year.

I already use Bosch and have someone to give my car a decent wash on a regular basis.

I rarely drive on cold winter days. I’m retired.

Yes, every late autumn and I do occasionally use screen-wash, it’s the washing up liquid I never use.

Being a lazy swine I have my car valeted when I'm in town.
Last time I picked it up it looked stunning as if it had just come
out of the showroom. I asked the valeter what he had used to get it looking so good.
Tesco value washing up liquid was his reply.
I'll let you know if the windows fall out. 😉
Here you go, explain this to the car cleaner you use next time he fobs you off with a cheap Fairy Liquid car wash.

‘The particular problem with washing up liquid and the "rubber/plastic type" seals around the windows of cars is that the very oil hungry hydrophobic end of the hydrocarbon chain in the liquid surrounds those rubber/plastic type materials which are derived from oil( as a raw material) making them water soluble.
This effect together with the extreme low surface tension characteristics of the fluid mean that it slowly but surely finds its way down the interface where the glass and surrounding seal meet. When it starts off this action then the liquid when it dries leaves some of the extremely small dirt particles which it has washed off the window in this minute gap it has created between the two surfaces / It repeats this process step by step every time car is washed so after a year or so the seal is sufficiently away from the glass to cause a leak every time it rains.’

First thing I noticed was the rubber peeled half way off and flapped around after the wiper then one of them dropped off completely. Never seen anything like that before or since so probably the detergent.
