I was just curious what the break down was for married, single, divorced, separated, and widowed members on this site. Tell me a little about your self.

I am happily married. I have been married for a little over a year. I married a single mom, so now I am the proud daddy of a wonderful 5 year old boy and we are talking about more children much to my delight.

I'm divorced and I love it! I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. I might decide all of a sudden to fly out to a big chess tournament in Las Vegas or Chicago... I don't have to ask permission to do so.

One night I was restless in bed, so I got up and drove to Canada! Yeah, just 60 miles away... spent the night gambling in the Windsor Casino and made ...[text shortened]... are free! 😵

I can't imagine taking on other people's problems at this stage in my life.
In several ways, our lives run parallel.

I'm (semi) retired. I work at a Casino as a poker dealer with a VERY flexible work schedule .. I show up when I feel like it and deal. I normally work about 15-20 hrs a week. I live in SoCal near San Diego, spend a lot of time on the beach and take frequent trips to Las Vegas.
I get SS and a small pension from a 20yr slave job.
I'm comfortable in my life .. finally.

I grew up in Detroit and know all about Windsor.
I ran the Detroit Marathon on my 40 th birthday from Canada through the tunnel into Motown ending on Belle Isle
I finished .. barely (3 hr 37 min)

I'm divorced almost 40 yrs, no kids, never re-married, never came close. Lived with one woman for 7 yrs, another for 3.

I've been known to wake up mid-nite and drive to Vegas. Spontanious roadtrips are the best IMO.

Life is indeed good .. if you don't weaken.

Although I am married and I dig it, I do miss that total freedom.

I remember at my brothers wedding when someone mentioned to him that "now you don't have to go home in the morning." His response was "Well, sometimes that might prove to be a problem."
Boy, do I know that feeling. I would suppose all married people might.
I will just say for want to be loved get a pet, if you want to love choose your being and be kind and loving.
Well, you know what they say, old friend. "The grass always looks greener on the other side."

I've been married and divorced 3 times. I'm not proud of it, but I'm not ashamed of it either. If you find someone who enjoys being around you and you enjoy her company then she's your soul mate. Never let her go!

I was determined in my 3rd marriage that I was going to make it work no matter what it took, but I soon found out that my new wife liked women even more than I did. 😳

So what the heck, every day we're all dealt a hand of cards. We can just hold them, fold them, or take great risks. Sometimes the risk taker wins big, sometimes they lose. It's really not important if they won or lost; what's important is how they played the game.

Geez man! That must be a small mint in alimony payments. BTW, what caused you to get divorced? A friend of mine is contemplating getting a divorce because he doesn't think he's in love anymore (been married 4 years).

Tell him love is not everything.

It's the direction that's important, not the destination.

I've been married 3 years and my second kid is due tomorrow (neither condoms nor the pill are foolproof...) but my daughter has been great and hopefully my son will be to. I do miss the freedom of being single, especially with regards to chess & tennis tournaments. I'm not a fan of Maria Sharapova (terrible face) but Martina Hingis and JHH are a while different story 😀

Been married 16 years to the greatest wife in the world. My only complaint is she doesn’t do dishes so every time I go to pee in the kitchen sink it’s full of dirty dishes.

My first wife screwed around on me so I divorced her. Second wife passed away. Third wife was physically attracted to women. 🙁 Guess I've been a little unlucky.

Only had 1 child and she's older than mokko. Yuppers, I'm a grandpa! 😵

Your friend wants a divorce because he's not in love? Now that's sad. I love(d) all my ex-wives. Even the bitch who ran around on me.
