I think it is foolish to protray cannabis as a harmless drug. I think only now the effects are becoming known, and i think they will be quite significant, especially when it comes to mental health.
This debate always rages, some people swear by the stuff, some people think it's the devil. I am not bothered about any of that, I jsut think that any subst ...[text shortened]... it anti-depressants, alcohol, cannabis, etc) should be viewed with a certain degree of caution.
hey they should make it illegal right?😴

It's just a matter of how long it will take. Maybe twenty or thirty years?? Who knows?
I used to grow it myself and got busted for it too! 12 hours in a cell, £800 fine, a first class seat on the National DNA database, the loss of rights to work in anything that requires security clearance, loss of rights to work with children, etc, etc... AND FOR WHAT? I grew it so i didn't have to put money into the pockets of organised criminals who peddle crack and evil sh;t like that! ðŸ˜
I'd just started working in a new job and three days into it i had to go into work after spending the night in a cell and tell my new boss i had a court summons for drug offenses. How sh;t is that! As it happens it turned out ok, he reached into his draw, pulled out a big bag of homegrown white widow and took me out for a smoke! I loved that guy, he was ace! But i digress...
Canada seems to have the right idea. As far as i'm aware you can declare yourself as a medical user. Once you get your licence you can grow it legally in your house. As we can all plainly see, Canada is crumbling under the weight of it's drug addicts, the fiber of their society is blowing in the wind before our very eyes!! They'll wake up soon and realise that drugs are bad and start locking up all these hippies before they disappear into a haze...🙄

It may be illegal on the federal level, but at least some communities are forward thinking enough to see its value. About 4 or 5 yars ago in Santa Cruz, California, the feds busted a medical marijuana facility. The city council responded by handing out medical marijuana for a full day on the steps of city hall. It made CNN.
Ahh Cali....

Other than this, I could care less, shoot up with Draino for all I care, just don't put me in harms way. As long as your puruit of freedom and happiness does not impact my similar pursuit then go ahead do all the drugs, have all the gay sex, wack off incesently, scar yourself, drink to excess, whatever.
Originally posted by Hand of HecateI agree! I worked on the rail for a while and stopped smoking while i was there. Cannabis related accidents pail into insignificance compared to alcohol related accidents though. Responsible drug use, whether that drug be alcohol, cannabis or whatever is to be encouraged. Cannibis isn't illegal for this reason though. In fact, the government refuses to actually give a reason why it is illegal. The Uk paper, The Independent, actually tried to use the freedom of information act to get an answer to ths question. There request was declined (because some information simply isn't free, evidently...) so people like me remain criminals, which is a cause of immense frustration and disolussion. The fact of the matter is that people will drive and operate machinery while on drugs regardless of whether the law allows them to or not. Criminalising thousands of young people simply isn't constructive.
