Sure, you can see the movements of the pieces on the board...but can you see the communications between every nation? you know for a fact what those troops are doing moving from one place to another?
Get real.

Again:
Your attempts at trying to point out supposed betrayals is like the pot calling the kettle black.
And oh might he who is not taking this game personally.... IT IS A GAME. Whether I am playing the persona of an honourable Ruler or not has ZERO bearing on my real life person.
Originally posted by KnightWulfeEven if that is true, they have and have had ZERO chance of winning the game for several turns at the very least. Furthermore, they never played in any manner that gave them any chance of winning the game. Their "strategy" particulary Poland's, was to your benefit but not to their's. So it would be wise for others who want to learn Medieval Diplomacy Strategy (thread title) to not play like Poland did, wouldn't it?
My sweet sweet Queen!,
Poland and Roum will be around a lot longer than you...
Originally posted by KnightWulfeIf they want to be your suckers, that is their choice. Still wonder how you sleep at night, and why anyone would want to do their best to give you advantage while they are kicked around with no support from you.

Originally posted by no1marauderMy original point was that you cannot KNOW what every unit on the map is doing. You can only make guesstimations as to their intent. Some are very likely guesstimations.
OHHHHHHHHHH, you're soooooooooooooooo cryptic and wise. So your original point was stupid, correct?
That is a point that is not stupid. I think it is obvious, but, then again, there are many things that are obvious that people miss.

This game is certainly all about the movement of troops. There is no other form of support that one can offer to an ally.
Damn...why am I losing the game? Why did I not use the same strategy that No1 and Queen!! used?? Why oh why?
Originally posted by Bosse de NageWell, he's turned on his ally the Teutons in concert with the Bavarian and Novgorod. Knowing Rob he'll insist on the Lion's share of the spoils there. He also declared war on Roum last turn to grab Cyprus and Trebizond and is building up troops in the Crimea, so he might have intentions against King Phil and I in Asia Minor.
I declared war on the Mamelukes last turn.
My question to you, ring bearer, is, how far is that Golden Horde red going to spread?
I haven't quite figured out why Hungary pulled his troops out of Italy. There's 3 possibilities: 1) Him and the Bavarian are going to try to build a big fleet in the Adriatric and attempt to assault Sicily by sea (that plan failed once but that was before Venice fell); 2) He might be intending to join the Horde and possibly some of the more treacherous members of the old Med Alliance and also attack into Asia Minor, though the splitting of the spoils between 3-5 countries would be problematic; or 3) Maybe he's going to attack the Horde territories in the Balkans while the Mongols are occupied elsewhere (perhaps in conjunction with some others) though I doubt he has the ballsz.
3 makes the most sense IF he could get you and Castile to go along, but it would be a rather bold move and he's been pretty sedentary. Most probably it's 1 though if we see some Mongol shipbuilding in Thessalonia we'll know it's 2 (though I guess 1 and 2 could be tried together).
