Do you know how much 85KG is?

It's just shy of 190 pounds, I used to do 170 with no problem, 3-4 reps. I weighed 165 at the time, could bench press 250.
you must be a real noodle armed stick boy. Military Press 85 POUNDS? Come on. I could do that when I was 12 years old.

it's never too late, sorry if I sounded like a jerk. Doing anything is good. Let us know how you progress.....quit and you get no sympathy. I'm 55 years old, do 105 chin-ups every morning. Got arms like tree trunks, laugh at teenagers who think they're tough.

I'm multi-talented. My education taught me to use both systems.
So, i have two American coins in my pocket. They total 30 cents. One is not a quarter. What is the other one? And what's the answer in sq. meters?

No worries, but I seriously think it depends on your weight.

I had this link several months ago before my computer crash which had world records for different exercises versus the person's weight,

And starting out my 85 pounds seems reasonable for my weight.

I think the record at my weight was 130 or something and these are prof. Atheletes...

It's hard to get more then 85 off the rack and into the ready position all alone. After that it's not so bad.

Alone? You need a lift buddy to get you pumped as well as pull the dumbell off you when you slip. No one wants to be stuck under a dumbell unconscious because they dropped it on their head.

The military press is no longer used in prof. or olympic comp. It's just too hard to judge. The knees must be locked out and also the elbows. A lot of heavily muscled lifters had trouble with this even though they were locked out as far as they would go. It was a judging nightmare. A world champ could press 3x his bodyweight. Today lifters only compete in two events: the clean & jerk and the snatch( huba huba )! Power lifting is a whole different thing. A well conditioned person should be able to Military Press (no cheating) his bodyweight.

I would try it... except I hurt my arm/shoulder/peck muscles doing like 100 jumping jacks without stretching first. 😞

I can bench 65lbs about 15 times...

I know what you mean!

I have one of those workout benches with a barbell I got from a garage sale, $12.

Then I spent $10 at another garage sale for more weights.

So ya I work out at home and to this date I've dropped weights on myself, 4 times I believe.

It's not fun benching your bodyweight and trying to get 1 more rep in and dropping it on your chest. Argg...takes forever to get out from under once that happens.

That's why I'm scared of trying to do military press with more then 85. 85 I can do easily but 90 I can't get off the rack and into the set position. Feels like I might fall over 🙁

Still can't find this link 🙁

It's had peoples weights and how much they could do of each exercise.
So you can measure up.

Any clues?

Here is one for bench press. I'm not doing to bad 🙂 considering I'm no athelete or anything.

There use to be one for military press but I can't find it.
