I don't like to lift too much, its just stupid... I'd rather lift a moderate ammount with more reps and sets then a large ammount with few reps and sets. Seeing guys loading up the benchpress and trying in agony just to do one is stupid and you get less from it... they are just trying to show off. 😴

Low weight + High number of reps = Toning.
It depends what you're going for, and you should probably include a bit of both.
Originally posted by ChessJesterYou build more strength doing large weights, low reps, although low weight high reps has it's place too. It all kinda depends on your current cycle.

You take the barbell off a squat rack? We have rubber weights and lift it off the ground. We usually do 1 rep and then drop it to the ground, repeating process. Sometimes we include squat. It's a b****. I forgot what it was called. We use are legs too so maybe not quite the same?
The clean and the other one is clean and jerk I think.
It's different in that you use your legs for the ones you are talking about.
I wish I had a squat rack. I have those normal workout benches, cheap one so to do squats, I gotta first lift it over my head and then back it onto my back. You get a little tipsy this way 🙁

That sucks. You must do this at home? Squat racks are nice and much safer. 😀

I am doing some 12 oz. lifts at tthe moment. Looks like I can do about 12 reps before I need to go back to the liquor store. 😕

How many pounds can your Military Press and how many times?

No spotters, or exercise machines. Only Barbell like in the picture.
It took me a while but I can do 85 pounds, 6 times.
It's hard to grab the barbell of the rack with more pounds and get into ready position, but after that it's not so bad.
