Originally posted by RagnorakI agree, let's try this out. It wopuld be a good thing to be sure about at least one extra round pretty soon, some people might like to start shooting for it allready.
Even though I included colours in my example above, I think that colours should be excluded from the vote, and be our first new round seeing as its a new and interesting round.

By the way, I only now saw Noodles mentioned Kieslowsky's trilogy. I too like how he used colour there. I also loved how Zhang Yimou takes this a whole lot further in "Hero".

Originally posted by Rajk999I don't think the idea is to send in overexposed pictures 😉 I intend to vote for pictures that clearly used a longer exposure to achieve a (probably) intended result. For me, that means an shutter speed of 1/10s can be a long exposure, for example when used to make a picture of someone running. But I wouldn't consider it a long exposure when you're shooting something that doesn't move in 1/10th of a second.
I guess this might be adumb question as everyone else seems to know, but what exactly is an extended exposure. It is just a long exposure? If so how long is long. Must the photo appear overexposed ? I gues there must be some indication that its a long exposire.

Set a small aperture if the light is high to get the exposure right. I guess one wouldn't be getting many votes if it wasn't obvious that it was a long exposure.

Originally posted by Rajk999I have been wondering about that myself. Since most of my pictures are night shots, I have lots of long exposures (several seconds), but I am not really sure they would all count as "extended" exposures.
Thanks DV and Rag, I guess it depends on the subject. I have taken some shots that were several seconds long but its not immediately obvious that it was a long exposure, as most of the subjects did not move. I guess that wont get votes !
