I'm in good deal of pain, have been for about of month. I take many Ibuprofens a day. How do you know when it is hurting you? Could I just keel over and die of heart attack at 27? I'm getting curiousabout this because I have some scheduled appointments to fix the problem but I'm still going to need the pills till its fixed.
I will pray for you my friend, if you don't object. 🙂

Can a doctor know how you feel if you don't tell him/her? Can he/she know how a medication is affecting you w/o your input? No. And in fact, thousands of people die every year because they followed some doctor's medical advice blindly.
Am I saying that we shouldn't seek out the medical profession? No. We should get their advice, but pay attention to what our bodies are telling us when we follow it. I'm wondering though, what type of pain are you having and why?
Ibuprophen is a miracle drug. Instead of masking the pain signals like narcotic drugs do, ibuprophen in an anti-inflammatory drug taken to relieve the causes of the pain.
Do you have kidney pain? Pain coming from your back? There's no way your doctor would know about it unless you told him/her. It's important not to assume that a pain in the back may not be related to taking the medicine.
In extreme cases, and for people who don't already have kidney or liver problems, taking 800 mg of ibuprophen 3 times a day is usually acceptable. You should always take it with food and 8 oz of water. This is not something you want to do for more than a few months. As always, taking pain medication should be a temporary solution as you work toward a permanent solution that doesn't involve drugs.
Yes, consult your doctor... but listen to your body too.
Edit: look up Ibuprophen on the internet. A small percentage of people have a bad reacton to it and it shuts down their kidneys. Most people don't.
