I apologize, seems like I heard a sarcastic undertone, that was not intended.

Another prediction: Trump will ruin Christmas 2026 for everyone in the USA by blocking imports of Christmas decorations from other countries and by having ICE round up or shoot dead anyone dressed as Santa (illegal boundary-crosser).

Trump will attempt to impose martial law if the Nov. election result does not suit him.

Of course, he won’t call it martial law; he will call it something more benign. But it will in effect be rule by executive order from the head of state, rather than self-governance by the electorate.

i predict i will have encountered a deficit of understandable words (by readers of texanized english) by the end of the calendar year
this will not stop my fingers from producing unintelligible gobbledygook and smearing in on internet surfaces like graffiti on railroad cars
planning for this extended event gives me great joy

I am less certain of this than I was on the Starmer one but I’m going to go with him calling a general election before the end of Spring 2027. Secondary prediction: I’ll go further with higher stakes call it before the end of this year.

He’s as popular now as he will ever be but he’s making mistakes and a big one today; imo he is now posing to the Labour ethnic sectarian voter base to lure them back from the weakened Greens. He wants to make huge changes to the UK (all bad imo) and he cannot do it without a new mandate.

Trump will keep his hands off Greenland or they will be chopped off.
How would you see your prediction in the light of the latest developments?

They have reached an agreement I don't quite understand. Obviously Trump is not a threat anymore?

The new agreement between the USA, Denmark, and Greenland differs in several key aspects:
Military Access: The agreement allows the USA to establish new military bases and expand existing ones, while also granting the USA flyover, landing, and undersea rights in Greenland.

NATO Membership: If Greenland becomes independent, the agreement ensures that the new state remains in NATO, applying for membership if necessary.

Investment Control: The agreement bars investors from outside NATO member states, NATO partners, or the European Union from having control or major influence over sensitive sectors in Greenland.

Self-Determination: The agreement respects Greenland's right to self-determination and requires the USA to act in a way that respects Greenlandic society and the way of life.

These differences highlight the balance between the USA's military interests and Greenland's sovereignty and self-determination. The agreement represents a compromise between the USA's desire for a stronger military presence and Denmark's commitment to maintaining Greenland's territorial integrity.

I suppose the agreement meets the requirements from all parties.

This was inevitable imo.

One thing with Trump is he likes to make his hand-wringing opponents look silly; so he spouts off all that bluster some months ago and it’s ‘chum in the water’ to his detractors. Behind the scenes the diplomats and negotiators do the real work and then Trump gets to say “told you so”.

Over here Starmer made a big pompous statement in the Commons about it, the likes of Ed Davey blew a hernia on the socials and the left wing media went on and on about it for a couple of weeks - “Trump wants to invade Greenland / buy Greenland!!” etc.

As Torunn said; it looks like a good deal for everyone, including Europe.
