okay, here's the definitive review of in rainbows. the absolute, objective and final truth:
01 - 15 step - good, interesting. not lazy at all nor pretentious. well, the beat is a little 'björk'.
02 - bodysnatchers - good, tight and packs a punch. second quite good song in a row. I'm feeling hopeful.
03 - nude - utter crap. first whiny phil collin ...[text shortened]... good parts' sound worse than I initially thought.
I give it 2 craps out of 5.

3. Ok, a little whiney - but still a very good song. I'm not a big fan of the whiney stuff either, but this song's still very appealing.
4. This is one of my favorite songs on the album, I don't really get what you mean when you say an actual song doesn't follow the intro. though, I think a great song follows it...
5. Yeah, I wasn't impressed here. It's ok, listenable, not amazing though.
6. I'm less enthused with this than most people seem to be, I think it's ok...but I feel like I'm missing what everybody else is clinging to.
7. I love this song. I don't really find it boring or whiney, it sounds excellent, top three on the album IMO.
8. Sort of nice is right. I like it, it's harmless, not groundbreaking but enjoyable.

10. This was better on the live versions. They sorta changed it up to make it fit as a closer, and it's just a little more boring. It works fine as a closer, but it'd be better as played live and put elsewhere on the album...

After several weeks listening to it, what do you think of the album now? Any favorite songs? Total impression?
For me: House Of Cards is such a brilliant song. I'm playing it over and over again. So much even that I neglect the rest of the album somewhat. Too bad because the rest is very strong as well. It took some getting used to but Radiohead gave us a lot of nice work again. Really friendly sounding music (that's for the first time 😛), with many good melodies and very innovative sounds. I think that next to House Of Cards, Nude and All I Need are the best songs, but there's not a bad one on it. Too bad that Yorke made a solo thing that was a little disappointing. He could have used the ideas for Harrowdown Hill and Analyse and have made them into masterpieces together with the rest of the band and then have added them to this album making it their best release so far. Now it's "only second" after OK Computer.

Listened to it once then never put it on again but I can't recall hearing anything that I didn't like. Sometimes the best albums are the ones that take time to grow on you.
