No success, so my crap microphones have to do for now...
I am off to buy new strings for my guitar. Was going to try to prepare the Usher Waltz by Koshkin but then I realised I would need three years.

[b]E) Submission will be open until August 4th as a provisional date and we'll see how people get on.

(A bit confusing that we have two music comp threads...)

Nordlys: pots and pans etc require delicate acoustics that are a lot more subtle than the requirements of the rather clumsy cello which is just a thing between one's legs that one scratches.

😠 My husband is not pleased. 😠
Apparently he said to a Cellist, "My dear lady you have a thing there between your legs capable of giving pleasure to thousands and all you can do is scratch it."

I have uploaded the first movement of Zoltán Kodály's Sonata op. 8. I am not really happy with it (neither with the sound nor with my playing), but don't have the time to do anything more about it. I have put it into "Covers", following Starrman's rules, but if you think it should be somewhere else to make it more fair, feel free to move it wherever you feel it belongs (if the categories stay as they are, that might be "Instrumental", although I already have a piece in there). I saw that kirksey has put the Sor into "Instrumental".
Now I'd better start packing, I am leaving tomorrow very early in the morning.

There is no way in hell we can classify those as covers; they are instrumentals but not covers.

Well, Starrman classifies them as covers, but I agree that it's a strange classification. As I said, feel free to move it. And if you want to put it in "Instrumental", but I can't have two pieces in the same category, discard the kitchen music.

So you mentioned going off somewhere? Vacation?
