I almost submitted a photo of heavy snow falling on a raging river flowing down a mountain in Montana, but after discussing it with (someone in this competition) we agreed that it wasn't *our* idea of motion. My point is, as good as the water shots are in this competition, I don't think they qualify as motion. I've only given them votes because I think they're more about motion *to me* than other pictures, even though the "other pictures" also good shots.

The photo comp has had great times, but the interest has waned. Maybe it'll rise again some day like a phoenix from the ashes, but for now I think it's best to let it die.

I take part in critiqueing groups on another site, and my most recent submission got the following comments: "colours too drab", "colours over saturated and too bright to be natural", and 1 guy even told me that the subject in my shot was both overexposed and underexposed.
I had to laugh. 😀
