We do understand that she came from a very poor South American tribe and no details were given on the father. I read today the poor girl had to have a C-section. Probably would have died trying to give birth naturally.

After 5billion years man has drawn that conclusion already. In my views 16 years of age is also way too young. But I guess it is far more acceptable, morally, biologically and socially.

But that doesn't mean the body has fully prepared for it. It can be a life threatening situation specially at such a young age.
Even at adulthood, many healthy women mis-carry. I very much doubt if the girl's body as a whole (not just the womb) is ready to cope with such a strenuous "challenge".

'Acceptable' is a word that's meaning varies from person to person. IMO an under 16 having a baby is unacceptable. Under 18 year old girls tend to be dippy as f, it's a shame for a young girl to be ruining their life having a baby. For under 16's, more so with under 12's 😕 No way!! They shouldn't be having sex at that age. Full stop.
