Torture, oh yeah, civilized.

But since that was obvious sarcasm, Payment. How much money would it take to make it alright for the untold deaths he caused?
Now since he couldn't give me enough money to help me with the loss of a dog, let alone a family member or loved one, I don't think this would be punishment enough either.

A suggestion you made ...[text shortened]... think. The best one given is so one sided and anti-Bush that it doesn't answer the question.
Mate, in all sincerity none of us have the answers. Yes, cut his balls off or whatever and make him pain. But that's so short of what he did.
We vote for our leaders. It's the voting system that is corrupt, and we must learn to find the ways to not let the electorates control how they get in. I'm glad saddam has gone, but hey, isn't it time we all pulled out and let them get on with it? Is Vietnam third rate nowadays? We can pull out and let them rebuild. We did with Germany didn't we. Look at them now... super footballers........well kinda...

My history on post WWII isn't as good as I would like it to be, but I believe that after the war several countries occupied Germany, and had a major hand in rebuilding her.

I hate the fact that we invaded Iraq under false pretenses. I hate the fact that people are dying over there (occupying forces and Iraqi citizens alike). I hate the fact that there is no set end in sight. I hate the fact that this whole nasty and dreaded scene could have been avoided, but we are there. Unlike Vietnam, where there was a government in place to take over. There doesn't appear to be a set government in Iraq. To make matters worse, we obliterated to prior government its police and it's military. Sadly We must now stay until the currently forming government and its forces can support its own. It means we waste trrop strength in an occupying role. istead of going after real villians of society (Osama for one).

Now once the new government has enough sufficient strength to support itself, then We pull out, and as rapidly as we went in.

Agreed. Kinda?

Osama? As I said earlier : quote "we'll smoke him out!",........ it never happened.

Where is the cut off point? (actually my wife just got out of the bath and looking at me I know where the cut off point is.. log off)

Cut out, get out and leave them to it. If they kill each other it's only what they were doing before, but they have been given some light into how others live. Shows how much their religion's morals stand for. But for God's sakes and the mothers and wives of lost soldiers from the west (and fathers and brothers who try to be macho), why are we in a place that is none of our business?? (Re--- comes nack to business doesn't it??) (Did you know of all the coal production in the UK only 1% was ever removed? Beds... we have deep beds , uncut and waiting. Think of the war on Britain when the fossil fuels really run out?)

There are and have been many tyrants, dictators and mass murderers. Your logic is highly selective and lacking in principles.
Are we talking about anyone else? No, we're discussing Saddam Hussein.
And since you seem to be so astute, please point out the flaws in my logic.

I know. Raising a dead thread about something that everyone knew about, in the vain hope of making yourself look like you know something....sad indeed 😞
