How is analyses by commercially available chess engines of public games "confidential information"???

Actually you never answered his simple, straightforward question, to wit: "What proves someone is cheating?" What are your actual criteria or is that "confidential information" like engine analyses of public games?

Just a few observations....... Its apparentt hat a number of people are concerned about the Game Mods decisions and are requesting evidence....I am struggling with the answers being given that if people knew what they were looking for then it would help them cheat more..surely the reverse is true if the Games Mods finding were made public those not caught so far would be far less likely to attempt to do the same ....by making the information public more people would be less inclined to leave the site as they can check the evidence themselves and I cannot agree with D Tebb (no disrespect) but the information in the publc domain with a product in the public domain is not confidential information....
I dont want anyone cheating on this site I play chess for fun my rating is 1200-1300 and its taken me sometime to get it there I could not spot an engine user against me and anyone wanting to try has to be pretty sad because if they are half decent they will beat me...but I do enjoy this site playing games with anyone at any level exchanging banter and a healthy friendly rivalary..also helps me relax switch of from work or other pressures but the current situation is not helping that friendly rivalry and appears to be causing problems for many people ......a rethink by the MODs or Russ on the issue would be good with a clearer view of the issues that they see which others do not......about making the information public

So analyze it yourself then.

If the Game Mods would tell us which games they analyzed and with what, we could. The games of Exy's I've analyzed with Fritz (my 12 with him + 1 other) show no sign of engine use.

Why are you still so into finding out? Do you really think your going to accomplish anything or change anything?

The RHP public have constantly achieved change throughout the history of RHP, and that's why Russ welcomes feedback from us.

Ah, you again, thought you might respond to that one. 🙂 So you think he is eventually going to tell you what really happened if you keep posting about it?

From Gatecrasher:
"Having said that, a good case could be made for giving a more detailed reason for a banning, other than 3(a), 3(b) or 3(c).

I know that if I were on the other side of the divide I would be hopping up and down with a mixture of curiosity and indignation. I'm sure any suggestion that might lead to a workable compromise would be welcome."

Time for Chess is the same. Once you play there for a week, you will go back to RedHotPawn and your eyes will ache!

Now we are at TFC, same thread. Just log in.

Everything is the same.

There is also Chessatwork and Redhotchess. They are all the same place.

Its just a different name and different theme for the same site. RHP can be very harsh on your eyes due to the lots of stark white. TFC is much easier on the eyes. Chessatwork is black and white and looks a little less like a chess website (apart from the chess board) Redhotchess is for people who either can't access the redhotpawn site due to firewall restrictions or who may find the pawn part offensive in some way.

Why would it be firewalled?
