General

The issue of posting personal information about people has arisen before, and it is forbidden on RHP. Now, we appreciate that some content is available on the Internet, and therefore could be considered in the public domain, but we do not want to see it duplicated here, particularly when it is used in a confrontational manner.

We are now going to take a hardline on this, as some people appear adamant on wasting our time. If you want to squabble and flame each other, as I said, please take it elsewhere.

Thanks,

-Russ

Well said.

It would be nice to know what exactly do you mean by 'hardline'.

Maybe you should advise just how hard a line will be taken, to prevent people [i[testing[/i] just far they can go.

For posting personal info?
For squabbling?
Permanent ban? Temporary ban?

The repeat offenders know who they are. And a recent case of feedback complaining about such behaviour when they themselves were guilty has forced this upon me. It has to stop.

edit: it is all very tiresome.

If there is a question about it, how about just not posting it?

Anybody posting info to test how far they can go, should get banned just for testing. No warnings.

As long as there remains no concrete boundary to what is and is not acceptible, the testing of how far you can go is a mandatory part of existing in the social arena we have here. Eitehr the law is laid down secret police style, or it is left to society to police itself, in which case the boundaries are relative and can only be ascertained by pushing against them.

I propose a ban on cheap sociology.

I have no sympathy for cider drinkers. They brought this on themselves.

perhaps the solution may be individually; particularly to let
two who hate each other bash themselves freely until both get
banned... of course, the tribes and e-buddies should stay away...

Sort of a forum to replace Meet Opponents simulating a
ring, where two suscribe in a celebrity deathmatch and
slap each other until death = ban.
