England have done well and should go 2 - 1 up tommorow.
This is a real chanced to win back the Ashes after some 20 years.
It seems that over the current series the way forward is to attack from the off in a similar fashion to the one day matches.
This makes for entertaining cricket and I believe would make the sport more popular.
Perhaps the days of grinding out at innings like Atherton and Boycott used to do are gone
Ah, I still remember that Atherton innings. Most mind bogglingly boring day's cricket I ever saw (I was there), but he saved the game.
The forecast is good (that is it shouldnt rain), I think Langer is capable of batting a full day in particular, he will be a key wicket.
Whilst the other batsmen are all very good, they seem better attacking.
Austrailia have a habit of comeing good when it matters most though,
Clarke is also injured, and Lee whom has batted well recently seems to be carrying an injury too which may have a bearing
McGrath got a 5 wicket haul but didnt seem at his best, it will be interseting to see if anyone else is called up for the remaining tests

Hmmm. I hate to say it, but I think Australia are going to dig in deep now, and play to keep wickets, rather than score runs. They would be very fool hardy to chase 400 runs, at the risk of getting skittled. Draw written all over it, unless England's bowlers can produce something stunning. Let's see. 🙂

But more seriously, it'll be a difficult day. The Australian top order have the ability to play a lot better than they have done thus far, and could all too easily take it down to a close finish. Rain hasn't exactly helped the cause.
