Submarines maybe, mate! Your Navy, as a whole, is not superior to the US Navy. I've been on Royal Navy ships, and you have just as many chitbirds and first-rate sailors as we do. The SAS and SEAL debate has been raging for decades. Prove it that the SAS is "far" superior to the SEALS, and I'll shut-up; until then continue your bias, as we all are ...[text shortened]... than the US Navy is analogous to saying that the weather in Seattle is better than in London

Blind nonsense? Go read your country's biased newspapers to see if anything good is written about America or anything bad is written about immigrants who rape one of your pretty Norwegian girls.....or the human rights abuses taking place in the Islamic ghettos....
Yes, totally blind nonsense.

What makes you think your media is less biased than that in this country?

I am not a Norwegian but do live here and find your claims laughable, as you would if you lived here too. I even find if rather offensive which surprises the hell out of me!

I wrote in another thread how you guys seem like a nice bunch of people but would believe anything if there's a flag waving in the background. Your comments here seem to back this view up, you even bring your own flag.

No Islamic professionals in Norway?? If you knew how ironic that is for me!!!

You're right Wheely. Chancre is one of the people that are so patriotic it blinds them and causes hate to spew from their mouths if something remotely negative is said about our country, him, or people like him. When he runs out of things to say in defense, he resorts to insults. You'll find this out shortly.

Have you ever heard of China and the rate that their military, especially their navy, is growing? Or do they ignore that fact in your daily newspapers?
OK, so you're saying the reason for the size of the US navy is China? And that the US navy outnumbers the next 17 combined? Again, where's the threat?

I will not say that the US should have such a large navy. However a large navy like that is very useful. It means we can maintain large forces in multiple areas at once which means we can respond quickly to anything anywhere. We can for example cover China with a navy as strong as theirs while fighting both in Iraq and Afghanistan with heavy naval support, fight a few pirates here and there, watch our coasts (if you count the Coast Guard as part of our navy), etc. etc. etc.

However, this is only the usefulness of such a large navy if you have it. Whether or not these benefits are worth the cost is a different topic.

statehood's a bit much, but if you submit a really good application, we'll consider you as a candidate for trust territory.

Incidently, I just realised that I banged my head on the sharp headed nail on this one.

We tell the world that we're a secular society, where religious freedom is an important ingredient in this whole democracy soup. No religion is to be favourised. People can't have special laws and privileges because of their religion, but they're free to practise their ...[text shortened]... milar laws here in Sweden for the jews.

I am puzzled by that, to say the least. ๐Ÿ˜ž
if you removed it from the holiday calendar, and most of the teachers took a personal day off that day anyway, then what? ....

in that article there are three points based on the Falklands War (you can check the details on that war at the link below, i don't think it supports your point at all). and one short unsupported comment that British captains are believed to be better.

C'mon, cash, didn't you serve your country? That was what I was thanking you for. I'm trying to be civil here.
Being civil is OK, just as long as you don't try and put blame on me for the mess you youngsters have left the world in under the Bush administration. With all the back patting and credit taking for all the wasted resources that took several hundred years to accumulate just to dump it into a pit of muck and line the pockets of oil scum Terrorist and or traitors from God knows where. But it's OK, you can always claim ignorance like the good book says, God will forgive you (if you believe in such) maybe. Not sure the world will though. Ignorance is those who ignore facts and follow lies and help to push lies and call it defense.

Truthfully I don't think you are all that dumb. I just think you are struggling to clear your conscience.

Peace!

Excuse me, I will now go run for cover.
