The moonbus red thumbs poll

You're entitled to your opinion on that, but I don't want to see the feature dismantled just because you and dive don't like it.
Thank you. I get that you don't want to see the feature dismantled.

Yes, neurosis.

You do know what that is, and why it pertains to you, yeah?

@moonbus said
The straw poll I put up was not well attended and does not accurately reflect how many people use the function or would miss it if it were dismantled.
I don't care how many people would miss it. Much in the same way as you don't care that I think it's infantile.

Keep it in your files so that you can post it here once you take over the site and the only two left, you and FMF, can laugh and laugh and laugh.

Do you BOTH post stuff like this AND anonymously thumb down the person it's addressed to every time?

Well, I, for one, will stop expressing disagreement with people if the anonymous red thumbs increase. They are unbearable.

I feel besieged by slogans of my own creation. Not knowing who is disagreeing is Ruthless Peer Group Pressure. Going After Everybody Is Impractical So I Am Thwarted. Anonymity Has Terrible Consequences. Don't Let The Door Hit Myself On The Way Out. Knowing ...[text shortened]... atever Their Reasons Are]?*

Any more slogans?

* This last one needs work; it's a bit too long.

None.

The Hikaru Junction blog, RHP Social Media Feeds, and Polls aren't infantile. Removing them would not make the site better.
Neither would removing red thumbs (presumably, you like green ones).

It was just a tongue-in-cheek, self-deprecating General Forum post, Suzianne. There's nothing "insane" about it, and no "personality disorder" or "neurosis".

@fmf said
It's calculated nonsense; it draws attention to the nonsense of anonymous thumbs on a grown-ups' website.
No, it doesn't. It draws attention to your nonsense.

Removing anonymous thumbs would not make the website better, I believe.
