My Summer Reading Book Report
This summer I started to read "The truth according to me," by Hand of Hactate.
The book was long and ponderous, so I set it aside and went for something lighter and less cumbersome; War & Peace.

In a desperate frenzy to find a new distraction for the American people, the Republicans have resorted to man love.
Sen. Larry Craig was arrested in a men's room at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and he's now up for ethics review. With Alberto Gonzales being fired out of the cannon, does nobody else find the timing suspicious? Afterall, the Senator was arrested on June 11th and you'd think a good gay sex story would have hot the papers sooner than the end of August.
The Senator, despite pleading guilty, is denying any wrongdoing, stating emphatically: "I am not gay." This will obviously max out the drama-o-meter and we can look forward to a number of eccentric personalities coming forward with 'proof' of man sex with Craig.
Personally, I don't care if Craig likes to stick Idaho Potatoes up his backside and run around town dressed in assless chaps singing God Save The Queen. Still, I can't abide the bait and switch tactics that our media is eating up. What really ticks me off is that 90+% of the media can't come up with an original story to save their lives. Most of them just re-write the same background info from various news services and spin it as original work.
Message to the media: Stop giving each other reach arounds and get me some pictures of Sen Craig stuffing potatoes up his bum.

If I was phlabibit, I'd try misdirection as a defensive tactic. Put humanity on trial and elevate the issue far beyond Vick's trivial guilt. Let's get real people, if the glove don't fit, you must acquit. Someone dig up John C for God's sake.
