Do you what it should come down to for the general population, will they be personally financially better off in or out of the E.U? Short answer, no.
People who have voted leave have said they did so for various reasons, the fact that they think it will somehow solve the immigration 'problem', which it wont. That the NHS will somehow receive more money which it desperately needed years ago and is in a complete mess after being promised so by someone with no substantial influence. Yours, which appears to be just to rebel against an organization which was created to help it's European members and has proven to do so because they believe the UK isn't getting enough out of it. Never mind the freedom of trade, travel and E.U. money which has been pumped into many UK cities.

And I would say that many in the government secretly wanted a "Brexit" .
Tata steel ,or as it is now British steel has been bolstered by the weak pound and tourism will blossom bringing in much needed revenue and jobs .
Trade deals are already on the table with India and China .
The doom and gloom merchants are keeping their heads down .
Over our history young men woke to the horror of going to war ,if my mortgage rises or the price of fuel rises I will roll with it .
Germany in control of the EU?...Short answer ,no thanks.
-Removed-Maybe Trev has shattered his rose tinted euro glasses ,being Irish he would be a big Euro fan with a German persuasion , because they ( the Germans) attacked Britain in two world wars and lost ,I might add.
You can jump in the lifeboat ,with the Germans your friends .
Good luck ,

The EU is an anti-democratic beurocracy of unaccountable, unelected officials who make decisions about the UK.
MEP's are elected.
In the UK, legislation is proposed mostly by the Goverment (elected). Sometimes other politicians (elected) can propose legislation. All politicians (elected) can table amendments which, if they garner sufficient support (from the other elected politicians) become law. The Goverment (elected) decide when to repeal laws.
By contrast, MEPs cannot propose legislation. They cannot table and vote through specific amendments. They cannot repeal legislation. All they essentially get is a 'take it or leave it' vote on whatever the Commission (unelected) comes up with.
All the key legislative work rests with the Commission. MEPs are basically an advisory/consultative body. Any Commissioner is much more powerful
than the Parliament as a whole.
It reminds me a bit of the American habit of giving all employees the title of 'director'.
It's not the title or whether you are technically elected that matters. It's what power you have.

When I voted 'out' I was focusing on the long game, fully aware that we might concede a goal or two early on.
(I often resort to football analogies).
