Personal enjoyment, jerk.

By the way, for all of you who listed Dr.Strangelove, there's a 40th Anniversary DVD out that I just bought today and it's absolutely wonderful! Lots of great extras! Might be a tad expensive right now though, since it's a very new release.

Good to see your making some good use of that Fed money for the hurricanes that keep destroying the trailer parks where you "live"; you might want to try to pick up a few chess books before wasting the rest on heavy metal and stuffed animals for the pre-pubescent girls you're trying to "date'.

Since I've been hounded I'll put up a top ten list without numbers with half pre-1970 and the rest more recent realizing I'm making grevious omissions:

Casablanca (of course)
The Thing (1951; best Sci-fi with great dialogue)
Duck Soup (I think I always get them mixed up; the one with "Fredonia Goes to War" and the Mirror scene)
Treasure of Sierra Madre (none of you mentioned it; great and ironic morality tale)
Dr. Strangelove (Hilarious and disturbing: best line "You can't fight in here; this is the War Room!&quot😉

Pulp Fiction
Clerks
Princess Bride
Green Mile
MP The Holy Grail

Somebody tell me the appeal of CLERKS??? I've seen the movie twice....once when it came out and another time just to give the movie the benefit of doubt and see if there's any real entertainment value to it.

just my opinion....it's one of the dullest, most poorly acted low-budget, first-time movie I know. Any hip/cool/cultish cache it may have doesn't sway my opinion.

Please, tell me what does it for ya with this movie...I'm serious, I'm all ears.

best,
steely

Fight Club? I hated that movie. What was the attraction? I've heard a lot of people say they liked it, but I just don't see it.

Of course, The Incredibles starts Monday. You'd better all go see it or god will smite you down.

I loved Fight Club's style and a lot of its dialogue, but the ending was just absolutely dreadful. For no1 to add it to his list shows proof that not all old bastards are wise! 😉
