In NZ any imported decent beer is either poorly copied under licence or kept out by the breweries and certain importers.

Currently Monteiths Radler.. a 5% refreshing drop with added lemon and lime. goes down brilliantly on a hot day.

The newly released NZ Steinlager Pure is going well overseas and just released here.. no additives at all.. lessens the hang over... not keen on the German style lagers though. .. watch for the Harvey Keitel ads.

Old Speckled Hen and Newcastle Brown are the best I've found.. nothing like them made or available here in NZ. love the clean malty taste and the refreshingly fine bead & texture.. slides down without too much gas.

I very much like a beer called “Dragon's Breath Ale,” from a nearby brew pub, brewed on the premises. (Of course, I like the Sicilian Dragon, so maybe that has something to do with it. 😀)

I just quaffed a 24 oz. can of Evil Eye High Gravity Malt Liquor, and I must say, it knocked my dick in the dirt. I give it 5 stars. 😵

If there is anything I noticed about chess players, all the cool ones pretty much like beer. I happen to love it even though I don't drink much.

Fat Tire is a pretty respectable beer. Has anyone here ever tried Killians Irish Red? It isn't anything fancy, but I like it quite a lot.

Frank Burns...you live in Portland? I will be there over the holidays...ever been to a pub called The Horsebrass? Not a bad place for a fine beer and a game of chess...or darts.

Where does everyone come with all these bullsheet names for beer. Better question might be why. Moose drool????...What name will they come up with next 'Crocodile piss', 'Cross eyed Orangutan'? I can't wait to drink that. (sarcasm) thought I might need to explain that.

I am funny and just stick with beer I pretty much trust will get me a buzz and something easy on the pallet. Once I find it, why keep looking? I like to drink it not spit it out in total disgust. I have already found plenty that is disgusting. Fosters is one of them.
