I think you are missing the point of what an essay is then (unless it's done differently where you are).

An Essay presents researched facts from Primary and Secondary sources of information (original texts, and articles about texts). You can add your own opinion in at the right place to make the essay your own work, but this should be commentary supported by ...[text shortened]... person is a no-no. Google essay writing for some tips (but don't cite these in your essay 😉)
