True, in the game I played
1. e4 e5 2. f4 d5 3. exd5 Qxd5 4. Nc3 Qe6 5. fxe5 Qxe5+ 6. Be2 Bg4 7. d3?! Just too passive.....got into all sorts of trouble went a pawn down but got a bishop of oppsite colour ending 🙂
The kg can be damn scrappy I will give it that. Played my first game of this otb season yesterday. They played Qh4+ in the Bc4 line, I won ...[text shortened]... g that I was up two pawns and not being happy about it since black had the initiative. Grrrr 😛

In my league iv never seen anyone else open with it, not even in blitz games and most peoples understanding of the Bc4 lines are shakey at best. I only started to play the kg at the start of last season for the most part I expect to meet the same people this season will be intresting to see if any of them booked up, the person I played yesterday hadnt, the play was remarkabley simlar to what he played last time with me gaining an advantage in the opening. I suspect alot just look at Qh4+ Kf1 and think right the H rook is out of the game without really taking in much else.
