i played this yesterday against a kid at my local club. I was really impressed by his play. It was a G/40 time control.

Guess you're right, I aint doing much with my white bishop anyway. Guess it had to do with tempo and I dont like much the idea of not being able to move my pawn on the f column to f5. Aint no much place left for a bishop here - or getting stucked as well behind the f5 pawn. the plan being that I can get an open column then on f if the white castle king side.

I always said there are two many pieces on the board 😛

Thanks anyway.

But my new favourite is Evan's gambit, which lead to a similar position then than the one you've posted here. It works fine OTB, but aint too sure about trying it here, still wanna test this opening for a while - whatever the name is

Hey Sicilian Smaug, it's funny, because I was yesterday looking at your games in a sicilian thread, and I was thinking that my opening is ruining your sicilian plans, and that it will be so easy to beat you.

But probably not, when looking at your raking, eh eh

Gotta try that sicilian drangon one day...

...maybe for my next life 🙄

here's another one:

Game 2094143

The only good white defence I have experienced while playing it, is when the oponent moves its pawn against mine a,b,c column, because then ready or not, he realy has to go with it, which means that I am the one deciding about how we gonna fight this. Well I guess thats what the gambit is about, its gonna be bad, no prisoners here, just get your heaviest sword and scream as you run in the oponent direction: Yaaaaaaaaahhhhgh

And its still a great feeling when you arrive all the way there and realise that you dont have any sword anymore. Its realy make it or break it.

I guess if somebody moves its pawns a,b,c 4 it just means "I just know where you're going boy!"

Anyhow, I was sure I was about to win this one, and then something happened - probably my lack of ending games skills, and I was too bored then to finish it and proposed a drawn.

Some of those days...😕

Still a good one I think

Edit: actualy looking at it 25b. Rxa4 is pretty much the end for whites
Edit2: and here's the variation when playing it with white. Obviously the advantage of it is that even if you dont threaten directly oponent's pieces, you're very close to upgrade a pawn to Queen through any breakthrough: Game 2085421
