My opponent was ranked a little higher than I was during the game and apart from a few aimless moves by my queen early on I quite liked my effort from move 13 on - 13. ... Bc8xg4.
Although quite obvious, I guess, for higher ranked players, I really stormed his king's side once he'd castled (I had the pieces) ... this is t ...[text shortened]... cky move 13.
(not sure how to post a snapshot of the board - will look it up and try soon!)

Game 2202005 Resigns on account of Nxf3+. gxf3, Nxf3+ wins Q, I like the move 13..Nf6, manouvering the knight to a more useful spot, If Qxf6?? then Bg5! wins Q
Game 2201508 Ruy Lopez
You played some nice games. Good job! I especially like the 1st game you posted.

Just downloaded winboard and sussed out the posting fen thing - here was the position just before my (blacks) 13th move ...
Seeing the two pastings I received at the hands of the dragon, I thought this little hobbit should show some of his better games! None of these are terribly recent, but they're all reasonably good.

I see no reason to take your ranking into account, you played a great game. The beauty is only slightly marred by your opponents insistence that development is for sissies and pushing pawns shows a macho endurance for pain. Your temporary sac is obviously sound and you finished it off with precise and eloquent play. Well Done!
Not emphatic, I realize, and there are at least two major blunders, but the game was edge-of-the-seat stuff against an imaginative opponent, and I was quite pleased with the fact that my King was able to subsist despite his unceremonious ejection into the centre.

game 1 looks pretty good although i think 11.Qd1 was inaccurate, 11.b4 Nb3? 12.Rb1 Nxc1 13.Rbxc1 d6 14.g4 looks strong and allows white to take advantage of blacks closed position for a kingside push.
11.Qd1 and the subsequent 13.e4 close the position giving black the opportunity to play something akin to Re8-g6-Bf8-Bg7, had he not openned the queenside white is hard pressed to break through.

Hey, interesting, I hadn't noticed that, although I had wondered about his decline in rating a while back - I don't think he was using at the time, though, he made a very human error in our other game despite generally outplaying me, and I think he'd have carried on to the bitter end if he'd been relying on an engine.
Interesting you decided to avoid the mainline with 9.Bxf6 gf
9...Be6 seems to be a blunder, perhaps 9...Be7 10.Bxf6 Bxf6 11.c4 b4 12.Nc2 a5 should yield near equality.
