I thought I played this one fairly well.

:'( If only I can play like that all the time, sigh...
i certainly hope you don't mean that...
16...Bf5?? 17.Re5 +-

and without 16...Bf5 you're just a pawn down with nothing to show for it.

Here are probably the two sickest games I have played on RHP so far. Both pretty one sided, but really fun for me nonetheless. 🙂

Game 117963
oh yeah i love the finish in game 1
for those who don't see it, 19...Kxe6 20.Qd5+ Ke7 21.Bxc6! and Re1 is looming so black is down major material. Hell of an eye to catch that Tony!

and game 2 aint bad either although black is asking for it playing the CK like that. Black can't withstand 24...f6 25.f3+! Kf4 26.Qh2+ Kg5 27.f4+! Kxg4 28.Rg6+ Kf5 29.Qh5+ Kxf4 30.Qf3 1-0
and white simply has too many pawns to try QxR.

The Re5 move forks your queen and bishop. Though the way he said it was pretty crappy...

I posted this game in mate under 20 too, but I find it exiting cause it is not always that I can spot these kind of things, and carry them on.

I would like to hear from you, was it luck, my opponent played lousy, or it was a good move?

well your opp did give up his e5 pawn and 13.Bxc3 was a pretty bad move but the real question is whether or not your sacrifice was sound.
13.Bxh6 gh 14.Qxh6 now white is threatening Bxf7+ Kxf7 Ng5+ Ke7 Qg7 mate (Kg8 Qg6+ Kh8 Nf7 or Kf8 Qf7 mate)

i don't see any real defense for black

A.Be6 d5 forking
B.Nh8 Bxf7+ Kxf7 Qxh7 gets at least 3 pawns for the bishop and blacks king is wide open but stil probably blacks strongest option.
C.Rf8 Ng5 Qe7? Nd5 wins instantly due to the threat of Nxf6+ Qxf6 Qh7 mate (note that Qe7 Ng5 is essentially the same position.)

so i think that Bxh6 is sound and probably leads to a win. Nice find!

I don't know if these were necessarily my best games, but they're definately the ones I enjoyed a lot.

Game 1757072: Admittedly, my opponent made a mistake on move 30, but it needed extremely precise play to punish him/her. Always check your escape squares when sniping, and count the tempo before the piece can be attacked.

I like my move 36 as well. There were all kinds of possibilities for my opponent. I decided my best course of action was to move the King to the square which would take the knight the most moves to attack and which his bishop couldn't attack.

Game 1854137, which is annotated by myself with some additions from David Tebb here... Thread 43813

Game 1533195: A mistake from white on move 14 signalled the beginning of the end.

Game 1556210: I managed to completely close down my opponent's king side, temperarily taking a number of his pieces out of the game, and allowing me to concentrate on the queenside.

Despite trying to throw this game around move 21, it's the game where I've beaten the highest rated opponent using a long term classic bishop sac. Game 1514982

Great games everyone...

I can't say I've played any beautiful games, but this one was a recent victory I enjoyed... some tricky knight play served me well in the last few moments of this game.

Sorry, OTB game so only notation
1. e4 e5
2. Nc3 Nf6
3. Bc4 Nxe4
4. Qf3 Nd6
5. Bb3 Nc6
6. Nb5 f6
7. Qd5 g6
8. Nxd6+ Ke7
9. Nf7 Nb4
10. Qc5 Ke8
11. Qc3 Qe7
12. Nxh8 Bg7
13. a3 Nc6
14. Nf7 Nd4
15. Qxc7 Nxb3
16. Nd6+
1-0
resigned because he felt i would win within a few moves unless he took the knight with his queen which he knew would lead to his defeat anyway, so resigned. i think he could have fought on, thought i would have gained further material through Nxc8 and his b3 knight, after taking the rook, would become trapped and be taken though taking a pawn with it

22.Nxh5!! Nxe4! 23.Qxg5 Nxg5 24.Nf6+ Kg7 25.Nd7! Rfd8 26.Ne5 Rxd4
27.Rbf2 f5 (Rf8? 28.Rf6! Rd6 29.Rxd6 cxd6 30.Nxc6) 28.Nxc6 seems pretty cozy for white.
