On the new analysis board, it no longer differentiates between moves made and moves yet to be made. I quite often play out a few moves and then go back and forth a bit - difficult to know exactly where to go back to without that visual clue.
edit : Scrub that - this fix caused highlights where not intended, so reverted. Full fix tomorrow.
The location of the gear icon and flip board , can they be put in the top center of the board ( border ) instead of to the side ( current position ) as its quite tedious on the phone version or have the option to put them where you desire?? Its a case of maybe having to zoom in on them to make sure you tap on them etc .. maybe ?? Food for thought
I have turned off "animate last move" - you can see what piece has moved from where to where without needing to see it physically move.
I have also turned off "show legal" moves if I don't know a legal move then I shouldn't be here. However as a previous poster pointed out it may be very useful to those learning the game, so a good feature to have.
One feature I would like adding is the option to turn off those garish colours when moving a piece; some may like it but to me, they are too "in your face"
We ALL have our own preferences so the above are my personal thoughts only
@Martin saidI was waiting for this comment. I'm used to it, but I definitely understand that when going from current board to new board, the change is quite striking.

I will tone it down a bit anyway (increase opacity), but again could make this an option to suit tastes. I don't really want to overcomplicate the board options, but the time for changes is now, so it is possible.
@RooksandHooks saidWhen on web on mobile, the flip board icon is always present to the left of the submit move button already.

I suspect the board settings are infrequently accessed anyway, but the existing Board Settings button is still available with a short scroll down - when making a move, anyway.
@Martin saidGarish colors, yes, I agree. I have set my iPhone to B&W for everything, actually, not just RHP. I find the monitors on iThingies unrealistically, even surrealistically, intense. Like being on acid all the time

@Russ saidNow implemented correctly and available. Now added a highlight, similar to before, for moves beyond the starting position at the start of analysis.

@Very-Rusty saidYou will always need to use the URL sent to you previously, it is not automatic. This means, should you need to, you can visit the non-beta site without complication.
Russ,
I have to go back to your announcement in order to get on the beta Testing each day, doesn't go to it automatically for some reason.
