@Russ saidyup - looking good.
Now implemented correctly and available.
Now .. On desktop, when on the analysis board and you hit the Audio-Settings button the analysis pop-up goes off to the settings page - there's no obvious way back as the pop-up window is trimmed of its chrome, so there's no 'back' button.
Fine if you know the shortcut - but could be confusing / annoying when trying to analyse.

@orangutan saidAh, yes, I missed that - pop-ups shouldn't really be used now, but I seem to recall a lot of grumbling when I tried removing it before. Some people wanted to see the main board and the analysis board at the same time, when using desktop, if I remember correctly?

It might be time to try and move on from this again now. One for the future anyway.
Regardless, I'll need to remove that link and potentially integrate the sound settings right into the "off canvas" board settings that slides in from the side.

I just noticed when a piece is taken it doesn't show the last piece that was taken like it use to do. It doesn't matter to me I know which one it is, but it may be good for new players. I thought that was a good feature and it doesn't appear to be there anymore.
Also some times when one has many games going it is good for a reminder as to which piece was taken last, in my opinion.
@Very-Rusty saidThat should still be the case, shown in the exact same place. I'll investigate.

@Very-Rusty saidI can't reproduce this - it seems OK for me, even when replicating your preferences. If you saw an 'x', that indicates the image wasn't loaded, possibly?
@Russ,
Thanks, I had a rook taken and it didn't show. I believe it was marked with an x if I am correct on that, showing as the last piece taken.
Was the 'x' in a gray circle?
Anyone else?

I was telling you that is how it use to show up when a piece was taken with an x over the piece that was last taken, now nothing is showing up. I just didn't explain it properly to you.
I personally liked that feature as I play many games and am on two other chess sites! I am sure it is helpful to others to and would be especially helpful to the new players.
I like the new feature where you click on a piece and it shows you all the different places that piece can go. That is going to be something I think everyone will like.
@Very-Rusty
This happens on the apps - are you confusing the Android/iPhone app with the web site, where the last captured piece is indicated with a cross in the captured material box itself?

I also thought it showed up on the computer, I could be mistaken on that I do use both, but it is a great feature!!!
@Very-Rusty saidOK, interesting - I'll consider this, as it would be a good replacement for the current system of showing the captured piece which is a bit unwieldy.

Particularly as the animation shows the capture now anyway.
Anyone else have a preference regarding this?
@orangutan saidI've changed the way this works now, with the audio volume set directly in the board settings.

Added a preview sound too, as everything else is visually previewed on this form.
On mobile (through Chrome) using the My Games page in 'card' mode.
As the board takes full width on beta, there's little space around the board. It's that space that's responsive to scrolling - trying to see the next game by scrolling anywhere on the board does nothing.
On the regular site, the board is smaller, but you can plop your finger anywhere (including on the board) to start scrolling.
I've got a Pixel 9 pro (Android 16) and Chrome version 139.0.7258.143
@orangutan saidAs the only boards that need to be scrolled in this way are static - not interactive - this should be resolvable. One for tomorrow.
