This release replaces the board code throughout the site, and makes some significant changes to the way the board is shown.*
You can change the board settings through the existing methods, or by using the little gear icon that appears to the top right of the board, below the existing board invert icon.
The board settings have been expanded. Changes are previewed in realtime as you update them.
Pieces and boards are previewed in lists for quicker review of preferred permutations. (Click in a list, then use your cursor keys up/down for a very quick way to review the board)
Some textures, wood and marble for example, have been replaced. Some pieces, Wood Legacy have been updated to higher resolution images.
Max board size - this is now a range slider for further customisation.
When set to max, the board will try to take all vertical space with the captured material always sat below it. Scrolling should no longer be necessary - everything should be visible in your window regardless of size, unless on mobile.
- Board coordinates inset - insert coordinates or outset, like currently. (on by default)
- Show legal moves (on by default) - available moves are highlighted as a piece is selected.
- Animate last move (on by default) - when visiting a game, the last move played will animate. This includes your own move if visiting your own game.
- White always on bottom (off by default) - this is now persisted in the database, rather than a "cookie", so the preference will now travel with your if you change devices.
Also, a link. to audio settings, where board sounds now have a volume, not a simple on/off. Set to 0 volume to turn off altogether.
*The board is now rendered in a SVG container, many of the pieces are rendered as SVG vectors too, so they will scale to any resolution without imperfections. Board textures remain as bitmaps, but support high resolutions.

Makes for awkward reading as there's no whitespace added between what were separate lines.

One of my own, the DM page inbox/outbox overflows onto the page footer when the fully populated.

- Arrows - If you are using a mouse, you can right click anywhere on the board, and drag to draw an arrow. Default green, hold ctrl key to draw in red.
- Highlight tiles - right click to place a red highlight, + ctrl key fr aqua marine,

You can easily see this on the conditional move interface board by moving a pawn to a promotable position when on deep mode.
I dodn't know if that is connected to the update: If I click "find me" on the ladder list the lsit can't be moved over the next 20 stop (so in my case in 3 day time out ladder: I can't scroll up to 59 and less).
It is not connected, it is the same for the current version, so please put it on the other stack.

Analysis board on iPhone13 jumps (auto-scrolls upwards a few lines) whenever I move a piece, so I have to manually swipe down again to get back to the board. Didn't used to do that. I can send you a movie of it, if you need to see the effect. Anyway, it's mildly annoying (not a 'feature' ).

Further to this, on any interactive board :
- The move sheet/log control will now finally scroll into view the currently selected move again. (PGN viewer, for example, when playing automatically) Also new, annotation symbols are highlighted on the log too.
@RooksandHooks saidThe slider shows max possible, so you may only notice size differences at the bottom half of the slider, depending on your screen size.
but now the max is probably around 50 % to 75% size ??
If you have set it to max, then all available space of the current screen, without scrolling, should be used at all times.
