@RooksandHooks
add at least two blank spaces at the front of your reply to separate your text from the username link. For now, anyway. 😆
@Russ now my max board size is smaller than how my max board size used to be if that makes sense ;-)
@Russ saidPlayer's board/set preference are now visible on public profiles, and can be previewed and adopted very easily now by others.
Further to this, on any interactive board :
One further minor thing - there is still debug code floating around in the release, and some included files are currently larger than they will be, so a small performance increase will occur later.
@Russ
if I actually reduce my screen size on the browser bar to 67% the board becomes bigger that way also
@Russ just read your first message post ..
When set to max, the board will try to take all vertical space with the captured material always sat below it. Scrolling should no longer be necessary - everything should be visible in your window regardless of size, unless on mobile.- Board coordinates inset - insert coordinates or outset, like currently. (on by default)- Show legal moves (on by default) - available moves are highlighted as a piece is selected.-
some players will still want a massive board to see ??? just asking the question
@orangutan saidThis should now be fixed, thanks.
Hi Russ,
I notice that in the forums new-lines seem to be missing within the threads.
Posts that are multi-line on dailychess.com are all on one line on beta.redhotpawn
Makes for awkward reading as there's no whitespace added between what were separate lines.
So far no one has said they can't see the board at all on Window 7 or an obscure Linux distribution, so that is a small victory! (I'll regret saying this, I'm sure)
There will be obsolete Macs/Safari combinations that don't work though, I'm just not sure right now how far back you need to go to break it without firing up very old hardware.
@Russ saidThe issue with sending P.M.'s has be resolved Russ, that was a quick fix!!!
Invalid moves are rejected without the submission round-tripping to the server now, as all legal moves are known already. You will see a flashing pink tile if an invalid move is made and instantly rejected.
@Very-Rusty saidI like the feature where when you go to move a piece it shows you were that particular piece can go. This will be a great feature for the new players and be helpful to the Older seasoned players in case they miss a spot the piece could have went.
