I pressed you and you stopped hedging. I agree with you about BigDoggProblem's take on petewxyz's OP, by the way.
Let's just agree that out of the two of us I am best placed to know what I meant.

The key to it is what you wrote.

It was in fact the exact opposite of 'fair-weatherness' why I left your club and my unwillingness to be party to the character assassination of a person I consider a friend.
"Character assassination"?

You simply misconstrued what I wrote and instead used the Duchess tactic of 'apparently' to tell me what I actually meant. Yet another example of having no interest in what another poster was trying to convey.

'Understand' his point about censorship was akin to 'see sense in.'

But sure, you go ahead and tell me what I meant.
Oh, he will keep telling you what he is certain you meant, again and again and again. I don't think he is remotely interested in finding your actual meaning.

BigDogg's point about simply not replying was extremely sound advise.

I also liked the way BigDogg recognised what I was on about very quickly despite my OP not naming the specific posters I was commenting on and so misleading him. BigDogg showed that understanding by remarking on his own experience of the posters. Great communication.

In the meantime @FMF tries to create division by saying the OP was about censorship. He attempts to perpetuate misunderstanding. He not only argues with others about what he tells them they mean, he also tries to recruit others into the argument by actively attempting to mislead them about the meaning of the other.

BigDogg recommends simply not replying. I am running with that and I recommend the same.

Have you not read any of the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of her posts aimed at me over the last few years? What is it you are claiming you would do for anyone you consider a friend, including me?

I have always been consistent in defending those I consider friends.
Would you be consistent and defend a friend [like petewxyz] if someone claimed he didn't have the necessary ethics to have conversations with people?

You flounced off AFTER you wrote them. You didn't even say goodbye. Or indeed say anything for weeks. Your first ever 'brush' with me, where I didn't agree with you over something, in private, and you were gone. You actually think I'm going to ask Yvonne to spend any of her time voicing any more of your stuff? Presumably you plan to make your radio programmes with someone else, right?
Another very odd post. It was fun to write a few stories for the show but I have no aspirations for radio. I have simply returned to the other writing projects I was already working on. The micros i have continued to write are simply a useful tool and occasionally lead to ideas for longer stories. I genuinely give thanks for introducing me to the idea of micro fictions. They are a lot of fun to write and help in the craft of word selection and waffle avoidance.

Good luck with your show. I will continue to listen to the broadcasts.

You do realize though that FMF is more knowledgeable than us all, and is the most qualified to know what you meant even more than you do.

I think it was about censorship. I think it's obvious that it is.

Sure. When somebody is brave enough to share deeply personal things about themselves in a public forum why is it necessary to accuse them of lying? And why am I automatically naive for believing them?

Don't worry. You're much too slippery for it to stick to you.

It explains the sense in which you flounced off.

No. The OP was and is about divisiveness. It's obvious.

That was entirely reciprocal between the two of you.

Had I been in a private forum while you were not present and were being slated, I would have defended you. (And indeed have done so at length on more that one occasion in Debates due to you not posting in that forum).

Obviously because FMF said so. After all he's more educated, experienced, knowledgeable and well traveled.
