'If you have found honey, eat only enough for you, lest you have your fill of it and vomit it.' (Proverbs 25:16)

'Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.' (Philippians 3:19)

'Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty ...[text shortened]... does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4, NIV)
So nothing from you either, ok.

Bible quotes not good enough for you?

Have you transcended God?

Bible quotes you gave concerning the definition of gluttony are useless.

Absolutely true!
Judge not, that you be not judged.
Hi. I think the issue of judging according to the bible is a little different then ones here who are saying we are not to judge others. That is true in one sense but not in a spiritual sense.
No we are to never judge another humans standings with God. That type of judging is reserved only by God and his son Jesus. We have no right to ever tell anyone that "they are sinners and do bad things and you will be going to hell"! Again that is for God only.
But this scripture will help if we try to understand it's meaning.

It's here at John 7:24: 24 "Stop judging by the outward appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

We do not ever judge by what we see on the surface or by what they do. We judge with righteousness or with biblical knowledge of how God views what a person is doing. If it is something that God clearly condemns then we now have guidance on this issue. Then we look to other scriptures that clearly tell us to not associate unnecessarily with those who "practice" sin or live a life style that God condemns.
Most of us would not hang out with ones the bible also condemns such as is described here.
“Do not be misled. Those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners will not inherit God’s Kingdom.”—1 Corinthians 6:9, 10.
We do not judge but we have to decide who we accept as friends or allow into God's congregations.

You asked 'how does the Bible define overeating?'

The quotes I provided answers this. Gluttony is overeating to the point of vomiting, gluttony is lack of control to the extent where god becomes their belly. Elsewhere gluttony is put alongside other sins, such as adultery and drunkenness.

@FMF

"believing in jesus" does not end the covenants.

jesus upheld the covenants and the scriptures.

jesus did not create a "subjective personal church".

According to the Law of Moses people were stoned to death for being drunks and gluttonous. Plus the Nicolaitains wee condemned for being slow-bellies ie over-eaters.

Rajk and myself don't agree on much but he is correct with this issue. The commands from God in the OT are extremely clear on homosexuality. God detest it to the degree that he destroyed 2 cities because of it.
I thought it was because they were rapists. There is a minor difference between that behavior and a homosexual relationship between consenting adults. Just a slight one.

In Leviticus God instructs the nation of Israel to execute both men if caught in a homosexual relationship.
