Now an entire thread could EASILY be devoted to the matter of repeating what you have learned from others.
This seems to be the cardinal sin for Divegeester. Somehow he wants to win some trophy, it appears, for originality.
I could debate this all day. Suffice it to say that the disciples in the early days -
"continued steadfastly in the teaching and fellowship of the apostles ... " (Acts 2:42a)
I don't consider myself as doing anything else. I am just continuing in the fellowship and teaching of the apostles.
Bringing it home.
"The things which you have also learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of peace will be with you." (Philippians 4:9)
I not only thank God for the fellowship and teaching of the apostles, I also thank God for present day examples of men and women whose life, ways, teaching I also may closely follow unto God's blessing.
Again, we teach others that they may teach others in turn.
DUH !
Paul to Timothy his younger brother and servant of the Lord -
"You therefore, my child, be empowered in the grace which is in Christ Jesus.
And the things which you have heard from me through many witnesses, these commit to faithful men, who will be competent to teach others also." (2 Tim. 2:2)
Maybe DIvegeester's version reads -
"Timothy, HOW DARE you copy what I said! Where's the credit to ME boy! People want originality. Stop saying what I said. Stop repeating to others what I wrote. Plagiarist! Be more original."
