Just because I am fairly certain that the Creator is not a Christian, and indeed am not entirely sure that she or he is even real, does not mean that I have no one to whom I may direct my prayers.
I've prayed all my life, first as a Catholic, then as an Evangelical, and now as a believing agnostic. I've also prayed with ...[text shortened]... do not have the monopoly on prayer. In fact, I doubt they are even as good at it as many others.
I appologise for hurting your feelings. I am sure God will hear an earnest prayer.

It's a hoax. You guys - there's something wrong with you.
Phew! Thank God we haven't regressed into a society of savages... yet! Although perhaps we should all continue to pray that Mr. Flores no longer receive flaming bags of sh-t on his doorstep. 😛
Originally posted by sasquatch672 I don't think so. I think it gets applied to whatever you were praying for. Prayers work like debit cards - once you use it the money's out of your bank. But now there's extra, EXTRA insurance for Ferdie to not get beaten to death - but only by the government. Because no one prayed "Please do not let Pastor Ferdie be beaten to death by a violent gang", so that's still out there.
Oh...My....God...
That is EXACTLY what I prayed for….I prayed he would not be beaten by an angry mob!
AND IT DIDN’T HAPPEN!
See how wrong all you skeptics have been! Can you see the error of your ways! REPENT…REPENT I SAY!
All of this raises some questions: if I speak in tongues while praying for Ferdie's family to be comforted in their grief, will the Holy Spirit cause me to utter more appropriate prayers? Wouldn't an interpretation be necessary in such a situation so that I realize how deluded I have been?
