Devout Christians are sure Muslims won't make it to heaven and devout Muslims are sure Christians won't make it to heaven. Of course, they are both right!

He "knows" in the same way as you "know" you will go to heaven.

So you are saying you do not believe he knows.

Of course I don't. They both believe they "know". I don't believe they do.

Maybe they have a gut feeling like you do. Gut feelings are good enough for you aren't they?

If they have gut feelings about supernatural things, and want to air them in public, then that is OK by me. Sure.

We discussed "gut feelings" in depth before. I have no objection to people basing their belief systems of supernatural phenomena and entities, if it gives them some solace and purpose, and as long as it does not harm others.

Do you think someone who believes in heaven and hell and shares that belief with others is harming others?

In and of itself, and as long as it's not used as some kind of witting or unwitting psychological abuse of mentally vulnerable people or young children, no.

Why do you think I was harmed when I heard about heaven and hell when I was a child?

I don't know if you were.
