There are many different methods to calculate it, and they ALL match.
So, there are 2 hypothesis.

It's not a 100% certain, but it is 99.99999(9)%: the earth is OLDER then 6000 years.

I know the sort of training you've had. As I shared before, I too was schooled in creationism*. I would be careful about claiming to know anything about life or physical science. Be prepared -- no, be excited! -- for a trained biologist to take the time to teach you something new.
