God and evolution can coexist.
Creationism and Evolution can't.
I think your mincing words, but yes that is generally what I think happened

I agree with most of your post, except where you say 'trouble is'. Why is it a problem? I am not claiming to have proved anything I am just trying to show that 'a leap of faith' is required when something goes against your common sense (environment) and not when it fits in with your common sense. Kelly is trying to claim that yesterday happening is essen mplication to them and I want him to admit that what he is imply is false and he knows it.
My point was that "common sense" is just a leap of faith you happen not to think about any more. I didn't really take your post as merely trying to persuade another poster though.

I agree on condition that you accept that even your existence is 'a leap of faith'. Kelly pretends that there are some things we can no for certain eg 1 what happened to us yesterday and some things we cannot eg 2 what happened 1 million years ago. He calls 2 'a leap of faith' or 'connecting the dots' but seemingly only does this for things that contradict his beliefs. He is quite happy to accept that dinosaurs existed and take that as fact and I am trying to show him that the existence of dinosaurs in the past is no more or less factual than the earth being millions of years old.

I'm more certain I exist than anything else does so I'm not convinced I need a leap of faith for that though, perhaps, can see there is room for doubt.

I will let you continue your probably fruitless conversion of Kelly though 🙂

Yes you could. And I can live with that God. But that is not the christian god, because for absolute sure he created earth 6000 years ago, in 6 days, and it must be like this because the bible is 100% correct.
And dinosaurs coexisted with men. I'm still stunned at this one.

Well I'm with you on both of those points.

For now let's forget evolution.
What in the world suggests you that earth is only 6k years old? Except the bible. Do you believe blindly in what the bibles says, just because it says so?
I'm still shocked... i can't elaborate...
Come back when you can talk.

Still waiting.
You never post your reasons, which suggests me all your knowledge is based on the bible.

In my experience, KJ's position on any matter boils down to two claims:

1) The Bible (as KJ reads it) is true
2) You can't show that (1) is wrong because everything you say is just faith and therefore can be dismissed

Have fun with cracking that one.

Its 6000 years old because if you go back far enough, it will only end up about 6000-8000-10,000 years old But personally I think it is only 6000 years old, besides they found the ark. and the ark of the covenant. It is in ethiopia under a tower.

Just can't argue with facts like that.........

Seriously though man; the Ark is old news. Everyone knows that it's been sitting in a US government warehouse since Indiana Jones found it after it melted those nazis.

Do you think by "if you go back far enough" he means page 1?

Maybe he has a barcode in his book on that page.

It will be a tremendous day when you escape the curriculum you are under now. It may be that that won't occur until college. Just don't ruin your life by going to Bob Jones U, Oral Roberts U, or some other fake college.
