Its likely if these value are cultivated by society and inculcated in children through education, yes, what we see though is exactly the opposite, a media saturated with the glamorisation of promiscuity and the adoption of essentially amoral standards.

I have not eaten a packet of Walkers crisps or a Tunnocks caramel wafer for more than five weeks, already i am losing weight and feel much healthier for it. Although I am loathe to think of the calories in my divesgeesters Christmas pudding which i plan to gleefully eat in his honour and to the honour of puddings everywhere!

Good for you. The fact remains you couldn't apply Biblical principles in your own life and you're a Christian.

Not so, i have applied many Christian principles in my life and continue to do so, Christ does not expect perfection from imperfect people.

You failed, quite dramatically in my view, to apply Biblical principles with respect to your weight.

No one is attempting to stop people having sex, one is merely intent on creating the appropriate atmosphere for healthy sexual relationships among committed adults. The world has cheapened sex, made it a commodity to be bought and sold, degraded it through cheap and profane pornography and this is termed progress! I mock all such pretensions.

more materialistic dogma, sigh.... my good man, this is spirituality, here we are interested in truth, not what is merely plausible, furthermore, your rather colourful theories are absolutely refuted by those who adopt homosexuality later in life, by those who are bisexual and by those who change from homosexuality to heterosexuality, please, show some respect.
Sigh... my poor, brainwashed man, you wouldn't be interested in truth that refutes your beliefs if it bit you in your Scottish derrière.

We do not yet have a good answer as to what forms one's sexual preference, however there is strong scientific evidence that genetic, hormonal and environmental influences determine this.

And of course science always trumps an ancient story book.

Stop allowing religion to control your brain, Robbie, I know you can do it. Start to think for yourself. You don't need all that nonsense. I don't know what has happened in your life that made you so co-dependent, but you don't need it anymore. Throw away the Big Book, step outside, take in the fresh air and welcome your new life.

Take control over your own brain.

its time for my dinner, what there is, is speculation, conflicting perspectives and plausibilities masquerading as empirical science! Science is limited, the sooner you realise this the better, there is no materialistic substitute for three thousand years of recorded humanity, throw away the big book, bwahaha, 'where else are we to go', Peter asked, 'you have saying of everlasting life'. What hope has the God of science to offer, what comfort, what moral guidance, nada, its empty and devoid.

I am in perfect control of my own brain, infact, the Bible encourages thinking ability and discernment, but you would need to read it to know that,

ok, dinner time, hope Miss Marples is on, i like her, ol biddy lady solving gruesome murders, its so English, so refined, so wholesome!

One cannot force people to partake of the pure waters of Biblical truth, one must content oneself with being an example.

An example of the 'pure waters of Biblical truth'? You're obese. That's a moral failing.
