suggesting somebody is pessimistic is not an insult. im pretty pessimistic when it comes to the boro, i always assume we will loose, even if we are winning i think we will concede a late flurry of goals and loose. i would not be offended if somebody called me pessimistic.

if you take the stance that the world is worse and is getting worse everyday. then this is a pessimistic view. to point this out is not insulting.

You should stop trying to play the man rather than the ball, robbie.

Its an attack on an individuals personality and does nothing to address the actual issue at hand.

Yes, of course, one realises that there are just so many bouncers allowed in a single over.😵

The issue is pessimism v optimism, and negativity v positivity, and the extent to which the realities of the world inform the debate. There is no "attack on an individuals personality".

there was no need to say anything about the Gman being pessimistic or anything else, it has nothing to do with the issue at hand, you should be more careful.

galveston75's pessimism about the world and my optimism about it is the only "issue at hand" in my exchange with him, and in my subsequent exchange with you.

if fmf had referred to galveston generally as a pessimist without knowing him it could be seen as an insult. as it would be an exaggeration on glavestion having some pessimistic attitudes, used to make him look bad. fmf used the word in the context of post on this forum, so referring to an aspect of galvestons personality that we can all see on here. with in that context it is not an insult unless you or galveston disagree that he is being pessimistic. even then it does not take a huge leap of understanding to see why others may see it as pessimism.

im strictly a fifa man these days robbie.

Galvestons personality has nothing to do with the issue at hand, he derives his outlook not from any innate pessimism, but from a scriptural understanding. It would be better to acknowledge that than attack his personality in this way.

FIFA, bwahaha, too easy! I took Inverness Cali thistle to the top! man up and buy PES.

answer what appears to me to be more gnat straining and camel quaffing of an Oliver Reed quaffing session, what's the point? You wont accept my assertion that domestic animal simply refers to animals in a generic sense not that they were domesticated or undomesticated prior to man arrival.

I see. The use of the word domesticated, doesn't actually mean domesticated. We're going down the 'non standard definition of a word path'.

I haven't "attacked" anyone's "personality". You quite clearly appear to be trying to derail this debate by making this accusation over and over and over again. If galveston75 wants to show that he is not pessimistic and negative about the human condition and state of the world, let him demonstrate it. As far as I am concerned, after discussing it with him maybe a dozen times, there is nobody more pessimistic and negative than him about this issue on this forum.
