heres a whole thread of doom and gloom, full of (ill whisper this so i dont cause offense) pessimism. [...] a few, gods going to cleanse the earth comments. a few end of the world scenarios including a bizarre claim from galveston that the world will end in this generation, something to do with the sea or something.
Originally posted by robbie carrobieBecause he has expressed - on several occasions - his eager anticipation for the end times when, he claims, all the things that make him pessimistic about the world will be swept away and replaced with the utopia that you predict. Be patient. I will dig out several quotes in the next day or two that indicate that this is his stance on the imminent end-of-the-world scenario, or apologize.
what it includes or means is a matter of conjecture, that fact is, he did not say what you said he did. If he did not say it, why are you saying that he did?
Originally posted by FMFFMF the Gman did not state what you said he did, references to end of the world scenarios will not change that fact. At very least if you are going to quote someone you should do so accurately to avoid misrepresentation.

Originally posted by robbie carrobieLol.. Here we go again with his lies and these stupid comments.

I think he knows exactly what I did and didn't say and only has the desire to make a fool of himself as he does over and over.
Some old song....
Originally posted by robbie carrobieReferences to Jesus coming and sweeping away all that galveston75 dislikes about our world will establish what I am claiming, I have every confidence. As I said, if I don't come up with a few posts (in addition to stellspalfie's) that make it clear that galveston75's has a wish for the end times to come and do the sweeping-away that he anticipates, I will fess up.

Originally posted by FMFI do not doubt that he has, but you have misquoted him and he feels as I do that it is a misrepresentation of his position.

Originally posted by robbie carrobieI certainly haven't claimed to have "quoted" him, as you know. But nor have I offered a "misrepresentation" of his position. I ma confident that I have characterized his stance correctly. Are you willing to wait for me to dig up the quotes?

Originally posted by FMFyou have not stated what he said accurately, its naught but a rather distasteful gross misrepresentation of his position, you said something that the Gman denies saying and have as yet not produced anything resembling what you said he has. It appears to me to be naught but a rather clumsy attempt to cover up a misquoting of a proposers stance. If you feel that your original post is representative of his position, then fine, but the facts are that he did not say what you said he did.

Originally posted by robbie carrobieI have made no claim about a "verbatim quotation". I have suggested that galveston75 is one of the most pessimistic and negative posters I have encountered on RHP and that he has expressed the wish that Jesus come down and wipe everybody and everything away. stellspalfie has already provided one quote which supports the suggestion that this is galveston75's hope. And a whole thread of similar stuff. I think there are many more similar quotes. But I am unable to spend the hour or two it will take right now. Are you willing to wait for me to dig up the quotes?
I am perfectly willing to accept that FMF thinks that his fumbling of the Gmans position is accurately represented by his words, but until he produces a verbatim quotation, it remains a somewhat uncouth and ugly attempt.
