I am asking your opinion as a non-believer, if you took all religions at face value. I fully understand why you would dodge the question. Could it be intellectual dishonesty perhaps?

Originally posted by @dj2beckerYou used the word "compete". From my point of view there is no competition. I have no preference. I don’t think any religions reflect or embody a "true" revelation of any god or gods there may be. I think the Jesus-torturer god ideology is just as far-fetched as what the other retail religions offer. This is my honest evaluation and my honest response.

You seem to have a habit of ignoring whatever is said to you in discussions. Maybe if you listened more attentively, you might be able to understand where non-believers are coming from better.
If ever I start to feel you have credible information about any god there may be, I will let you know.

That's exactly right, and I often take issue with those who would worship the Bible. And by that, I mean worshipping the book itself, not the God it describes. They do this in many ways, some seeking to justify their own behaviors, others seeking to control others. It's not a weapon to be used on others and it's not a pedestal one can use to exalt onese ...[text shortened]... es some good-old interaction (decisions and actions) to be worth even the paper it's printed on.

You have a habit of saying I ignore what you say but you never seem to be able to point out exactly what it is that I have ignored.

Originally posted by @fmfOk lets see how your version works. A God that is smart enough to create complex life and spiritual beings with a longing for the supernatural did that just to have us make up false gods and worship them while he looks down and laughs at us. Nothing wrong with that?
