Some examples of stupid Christian teachings:
1. That the earth is flat
2. That creation was a literal 6, 24 hr periods
3. That the bible contains no contradictions
3. That God is there to solve all their problems
4. That their prayers always work
5. That the Jews are no longer Gods chosen people, Christians are
6. That all other religions are heading for damnation
7. ...[text shortened]... eories of evolution is the work of Satan
12. That all nonChristians will be tormented for eternity.
Just for the sake of comparing and contrasting, here are the 21 precepts from Musashi's Dokkodo ("the way of walking alone" ), one week before he died:

The 21 precepts of Dokkodo:
1. Accept everything just the way it is.
2. Do not seek pleasure for its own sake.
3. Do not, under any circumstances, depend on a partial feeling.
4. Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world.
5. Be detached from desire your whole life long.
6. Do not regret what you have done.
7. Never be jealous.
8. Never let yourself be saddened by a separation.
9. Resentment and complaint are appropriate neither for oneself or others.
10. Do not let yourself be guided by the feeling of lust or love.
11. In all things have no preferences.
12. Be indifferent to where you live.
13. Do not pursue the taste of good food.
14. Do not hold on to possessions you no longer need.
15. Do not act following customary beliefs.
16. Do not collect weapons or practice with weapons beyond what is useful.
17. Do not fear death.
18. Do not seek to possess either goods or fiefs for your old age.
19. Respect Buddha and the gods without counting on their help.
20. You may abandon your own body but you must preserve your honour.
21. Never stray from the Way.

@sonship removed their quoted post
Many Christians converse regularly with Rajk, (Kelly and yourself included). To state otherwise is clearly erroneous.

Most of the intelligent Christians on this forum are not Bible literalists.

You would have to precisely define "Bible literalist".
Does that mean I cannot believe the parable of "the prodigal son" because I am a Bible literalist?
Does that mean I cannot believe in hundreds of other parables which are either said to be or obviously ARE, beca ...[text shortened]...
KellyJay do you think a non-spherical planet is a major tenet of the Holy Bible ?
For the record?
No to your planet question, not flat if you’re asking.

And I removed it. People talk with him. Me, very reluctantly as I feel trolled by him.

Thanks.

All you did was prove that your conscience does not bother you when you speak lies. You have the Spirit of Satan, not the Spirit of Christ. A true believer in Christ would not need to be told by another [an atheist to boot] that he was lying.

There are atheists who have the Spirit of God in them.
There are Christians who have the Spirit of Satan in them

The more we converse the more it becomes apparent

The more you write the more evident you have no idea about God or scripture.

You believe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are in complete harmony with one another? You believe they are One?

Do you believe your brain, your mouth, and your hands are in complete harmony? it does not appear to be one.

Again, insult over doctrine or scripture. You ever worry that because so much of what you do and say are of this nature, that this is the nature you have within you, instead of the Holy Spirit? This is what you think someone of good works is all about, your example?

Matthew 12:34
You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Ok, where are divegeester and FMF now?

They were all over robbie carrobie, through multiple threads and it went on for page after page after page, for calling them a "child of Satan". Is this not the same? No doubt they would say no, it's not as bad, merely because they are not being attacked here.

Where are they now? The very ones who brand people as being "unprincipled" for not jumping in to fight their fights for them.

Yeah, I thought so.

Surely this must refer to the war-hammer of Ronan the Accuser. 🙂

Read 1 Timothy 4. I started a thread on that chapter.

In the last days many will believe the doctrine of devils speaking lies in hypocrisy
Eg
- churches forbidding some to marry or the eating of meat or certain meats [v 3]
- departing from the faith and believing doctrines not preached by Jesus Christ [v 6]

Sonship, Second Son and KellyJ are good examples of this kind of departure

Currently KJ is arguing that nobody can do good works unless they profess faith in Jesus Christ. Nowhere is this a doctrine taught by Christ. This is a false doctrine propagated by the church. Therefore it is a doctrine of Satan.

There are many false doctrines in Christian churches. Your inability to see them, identify them, warn others of them, avoid them etc is your failure as a professed Christian.
