But you forget, the head was not important at all - his goal was world domination by "breeding the superior race". As this Baltic cold reached his special place, he gave us the short version of things - abrupt end to the war, quick suicide and no kids... Tragic.

Of course, nearly everything xtians say about homosexuality is nonsense. We don't need to look at such egregious excesses of bigotry to realize that.

A lot of xians disagree with what the Phelps family does; this is true. What is alarming are the many xians that disagree only with his tactics. If he didn't attack the people so much but rather devoted the same vitriol to attacking homosexuality, then he'd probably have an enormous following.
I saw this a lot in the church. Members publicly denounce him and other firebrands like him, but within safe spheres of say xian friends from church or a Bible study group, it's all "Amens" and sympathy.
Sort of a friend of my enemy is my friend mentality, though they would certainly object to calling it so. They disagree with the method but support the intention.
