God's country ?

Just wanting to see the opinions here on God and country? In this country, the good ole USA, many believe this is God's country and he has blessed it above all others. I live in Texas and that opinion is even stronger here. Like to hear any thoughts on this.....

It is God's universe and all in it no matter what people say or think, the countries are less than a drop in the bucket to the Almighty. I will say, I love Texas!

Aren't you planning to repeat whatever it said here on this thread?

I think this is not necessarily meant to be interpreted as this is definitively THE country of God. I do not think it is meant to be utterly exclusive to all other countries or places.

I also do not think it is meant to state that the nation itself is absolutely ideal and a reflection of God.

It's a poetic statement like "the land of the free & the home of the brave."

To dislodge it and treat it like there is this -ism floating around America that attempts to lay sole claim to this is a bit dodgy.

Good points. But there is always the other extreme of course that a portion of the population really do believe this country is blessed by God and with that being the accepted belief especially with organized religious leaders expressing that to their members, many do believe that God has a special spot in his heart in his backing and protecting this country.
Could this be true?
